Attention all sustainable shoppers!

Help us save your fav threads from going into the landfill!

Bring in your lightly used clothing and swap for some new to you threads or fair trade fall fashions. Each participant will have to bring the clothes they intend to exchange between 4-5pm. The swapping will begin at 5pm and wrap up around 7 pm. Items are exchanged on a one for one trading system. All items must be clean and in good condition. Clean out your closet and invest in some ethical items at our POP-UP shop. Do your research now and come prepared to shop these brands: (List brands)

Calling all creatives, freelancers, aspiring business owners and those who support entrepreneurial activities! Andrea Reyes, Chair of the NYC Fair Trade Coalition, is taking her show on the road! Grab your tickets today for this 2 day retreat to help you start, grow, or revitalize your fashion brand.

Day 1 - Market Research, Target Market, Competitive Landscape/Branding & Marketing
Day 2 - Product Development/Retailing and Distribution

What to bring & what to expect:
BYOC - Bring your own computer. This is a working event. Get ready to brainstorm and provide suggestions and ideas to your fellow business community.
Food - We will serve snacks and coffee throughout the day!

*These classes are not only subject to fashion but that is our expertise. Service-based businesses are also welcome.

Instructor:
Professor Andrea Reyes - Chair of the NYC Fair Trade Coalition is currently working as an adjunct professor at LIM College, Pace University, & Baruch College teaching a variety of classes within the fashion industry. Andrea is also a fair trade business owner. A. Bernadette works with artisans in Uganda creating accessories, home goods, and more from recycled/upcycled materials.

Justice Rising International warmly invites you to our 4th annual gala. The evening will include speakers, an overview of our programs, and a photo-exploration of the ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other war-torn regions, including Iraq and Syria. We invite you to engage with our work and help us reach our fundraising goal of $75,000. 

Justice Rising currently operates nine schools serving over 1,600 students. Over the next five years, we plan to build 40 more to reach nearly 6,000 at-risk kids.
