Los Angeles CleanWeb Hackathon

Green Business BASE CAMP, New Economy Campaigns and CALinnovates.org are partnering with CleanWeb hackathon HQ to bring the first ever CleanWeb hackathon to Los Angeles.

Friday, November 16, 2012

WHAT: The first CleanWeb hackathon in Los Angeles. Think of the hackathon as the Startup Weekend of CleanWeb.

CleanWeb is a strong lever entrepreneurs have for addressing the challenges of global resource constraints. The movement promotes the application of information technology to build scalable and disruptive solutions to solve issues related to climate, energy, water, food, transportation, and land use.

The series of hackathons started in NYC and Boulder, and is expanding around the country to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and creatives to employ mobile and social web technologies along with freely available tools, datasets and APIs to build apps in less than thirty-six hours.

We’ll host between 50-150 hackers in teams of 4-6 who will will sit in pods working together. We’ll provide prize money to winning teams as incentive for hacker participation.

WHEN: November 16-18, 2012

WHERE: Los Angeles, California –campus of University of Southern California, Tutor Campus Center Forum
