Deconstruct Your Deck: How to Build an Effective Investor Presentation
Sponsored by the Hub LA

PART TWO OF TWO: WORKSHOP FOR SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS

This workshop is for committed founders and social entrepreneurs who have prepared an investor presentation, and want to have their pitches and presentation skills candidly evaluated by professional social investors, and venture capitalists prior to engaging in active fund-raising.
The evaluation is provided by veteran LA VC Jon Funk of Ocean Road Partners and another invited social angel investor.

There are two sessions in the workshop.
Friday, November 30th, 2pm - 5pm
Friday, December 7th, 2pm-5pm.

The format is the same in each session: Each of the five attendee companies will present for 18-20 minutes, followed by 10-12 minutes of immediate feedback in front of the entire group.

The two-session sequence provides the presenting companies the opportunity to do a revision cycle after the first presentation, and then receive updated feedback a second time.

It’s required that you have a deck developed as far as you can take it on your own and that you’re ready to get external opinions.

Feedback will include:
- A thorough, detailed, constructive, slide-by-slide teardown by Jon Funk and an invited investor/vc (to be announced).
- Feedback on every section-management, product, market, and financials
- What to leave in/out, what to emphasize, best slide sequencing
- In addition to the deck itself you’ll receive candid feedback on your presentation skills.
- The price includes 2 individual attendees per ticket. Preferably both are founders.

Visit Jon’s MeetUp to see what others have said about this workshop in the past.
